FPC Worship News

Dear Family of Faith,

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere;

I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”

(Psalm 84:10)

Our elders met following worship yesterday to discuss worship in light of the rise in Covid-19 cases.  We decided to continue worshipping as we are now, citing this rationale:

1.     We have many social distancing practices in place and they seem to be working well.  We are grateful that no one appears to be distressed by the need to wear masks, have temperatures taken, and avoid certain pews.  We do ask – for the safety and comfort of all – that you would be diligent to keep your masks over your nose.

2.     We have a discerning congregation.  Anyone who is concerned about the possibility of infection may choose to remain home and worship using our online services.  Barring occasional glitches, the services are always available by early Monday morning.

3.     Fellowship – just being in one another’s presence – is such a powerful thing.  God made us to be in community.

4.     We may at any time make the decision to jump to online worship only if need presents itself.  We will let you know on our website and through an e-mail such as this one if such a decision is made.

Blessings!  Pastor Bill
